What is PerioAid?
PerioAid is an antiseptic brand developed for the treatment and maintenance of periodontal and peri-implant diseases. Its formulations consists of Chlorhexidine and Cetylpyridinium Chloride, which work synergistically to ensure maximum efficacy and control over the oral biofilm, also known as bacterial plaque.
There are two product lines within the PerioAid range:
- PerioAid Intensive Care CHX 0.12% + CPC 0.05%
A chemical adjunct treatment which controls the pathogenic bacteria that contribute to periodontitis and peri-implantitis.
- PerioAid Active Control CHX 0.05% + CPC 0.05%
Recommended as a maintenance system for patients at high risk of reoccurring periodontal disease.
